Google Tag Manager

Last updated on May 05, 2026

Google Tag Manager (GTM) lets you manage and deploy multiple tracking codes or marketing pixels — like Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, and more — from one central dashboard without editing your site code each time.

By connecting GTM with Trimrly, you can track user actions, conversions, and campaign data across all your short links, bio pages, and QR codes in one place.

Your GTM Container ID usually looks like this:
GTM-ABC123DE

How to find your Container ID:

  1. Go to your Google Tag Manager account.

  2. Choose the container you want to connect.

  3. You’ll find your Container ID at the top-right corner of the dashboard (e.g., GTM-ABC123DE).

  4. Copy that ID for use inside Trimrly.

How to add Google Tag Manager to Trimrly:

  1. Open your Trimrly Dashboard.

  2. Go to Tracking or Analytics settings.

  3. Paste your Container ID in the Google Tag Manager field.

  4. Save your settings to activate GTM tracking.

Important:

  • Double-check that your Container ID is correct; otherwise, your events will not track.

  • Ensure your GTM container includes the necessary tags and triggers for the platforms you use (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads).

  • You can use Google Tag Assistant (Chrome extension) to confirm your GTM setup.

Why use Google Tag Manager with Trimrly:

  • Manage all your analytics and remarketing tags from a single dashboard.

  • Avoid adding multiple pixel codes separately.

  • Track events from short links, QR codes, and bio pages effortlessly.

  • Enable faster, cleaner, and more consistent marketing tracking.
